Round 2, Suzuki Series 2013 @ Manfield NZ

December 16, 2013

As the dust settles after a stunning days racing @ Manfield for Round 2 of the Suzuki Series, SSR would like to say a big thanks to all the teams that made for such a spectacular day of competition.

To see the riders that were involved in round 1's incident back on the grid with repaired machines only a week later really shows the dedication the NZ sidecar teams have to the sport!

After qualifying 2nd on the grid there was a good feeling going into Race 1, and after LP racing unfortunately suffered mechanical difficulty we ended up going head to head with Mr Unsworth through to the chequered flag, crossing the line ahead by a whisker:)

Race 2 didnt go quite to plan! The bike developed an electrical fault causing it to stall early into the race... our congratulations to the rest of the field for what again turned out to be a great race- all the teams on the F1 Sidecar grid are ripping it up this year!

Manfield was our 2nd outing on our newly developed bike, and all members of the team are extremely happy with the way the bike is responding to the changes we make at every round, and we're looking forward to continuing the pace the new bike is showing us at Round 3 for the Boxing Day festivities at Wanganui, as all classes contest at the famous Cemetery Circuit for the Final races of this year's Suzuki Series.

Have an amazing and safe christmas everyone, hope to see those of you headed for the year's first street race on the 26th!

A big thanks also to our official support crew: Carl Cox Motorsport,Kiwibike Insurance,Motorsport Photography,Electric design, HJC and Berik.
